Beautiful interiors I wish I could recriate in my home

A picture speaks a thousand words. :)

Have a look at this fantastic interiors.  Which one do you prefer?

This interior is probably my favourite.  This minimalist and clean look is made unique by a great selection of stylish furniture and stone like feature wall that creates a perfect focal point of the room.  The devil is in the detail.

A great example of old meets new.  I love how the designer used a glass table and modern sofa in combination with traditional rug and classic chairs and side table to combine both style.

In this room the rug and the fireplace make the whole setting come together.  The designer draws attention to the fireplace by placing a paining over it which immidiately stands out.

The age old trick of creating a feature wall by arranging pictures in mosaic pattern works very well here.  Great use of this simple but very effective trick.

The leather sofas, wooden floors and wallnut furniture makes this room very warm and inviting.  It's needed here to counter the coldness of stainless still lampshades and stone cladding chimney breast.

The art work is the key here.  Ever the rug has the feel of abstract modern painting to it.

My First Post

Hello everybody.

This is my firs post.  I have never had a blog before so please be gently.  I will be writing about things I'm interested in, which is amongst others things will be home renovations and interior design.

Those of you who know me will know that I recently bought my first home and had to do quite a bit of decoration there.  So the diy topic is very current at the moment.

Anyway, I will keep it short.

Make sure to check back regularly for updates.

Love.

Mike.
